Tingkatkan Kapasitas Pengelola Jurnal Kopertais IV Surabaya Adakan Workshop di Greensa Inn & Training Centre Hotel Sidoarjo
Kopertais Wilayah IV Surabaya menyelenggarakan kegiatan workshop untuk memperkuat kapasitas Manajer Jurnal Pendidikan Tinggi Agama Islam (PTKIS) yang berlangsung di Greensa Inn & Training Centre Hotel Sidoarjo pada hari Senin dan Selasa, 20-21 Mei 2024.
Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pengelola jurnal di masing-masing universitas agar dapat meningkatkan akreditasi jurnal. Hal tersebut dilakukan dengan implementasi strategi yang efektif melalui pembenahan sistem dan manjemen jurnal.
Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 85 peserta dari perwakilan PTKIS Jatim Wilayah IV Surabaya yang meliputi Madura, Pasuruan, Malang, Mojokerto, Jombang, hingga Nganjuk. Universitas KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah (Unwaha) Jombang merupakan salah satu peserta workshop tersebut.
Selama workshop, pemateri dan motivator ternama dihadirkan untuk memberikan wawasan dan solusi terkait pengelolaan jurnal. Rektor UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, Prof. Ahmad Muzakki, M.Ag., Grad. Dip. SEA., M.Phil., Ph.D., menjadi salah satu pemateri utama Siti Mutrofin, S.Kom., M.Kom, dari Prodi Sistem dan Teknologi Informasi, Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya, menyampaikan materi tentang “Penguatan Manajemen Jurnal Berbasis Arjuna: Peran Tim Editor dan Reviewer di OJS.” Narasumber kedua Dr. Muhammad Barid Nizar Wajdi, membahas “Peningkatan Produktivitas Dosen Best Practice Substansi Artikel Jurnal Terindeks Sinta.” Dr. Muhammad Anas Ma`arif, M. Pd, dari Universitas Abd. Chalim Mojokerto sebagai narasumber ketiga memaparkan “Roadmap Nazhruna strategi Jurnal terindex Scopus.”
Dalam workshop ini, pentingnya pemilihan reviewer dan editor yang berkualitas dibahas sebagai faktor penentu standar kualitas jurnal. Selain itu, kolaborasi antar lembaga juga ditekankan untuk memperkuat pengelolaan jurnal.
Pengelolaan jurnal yang optimal menjadi fokus dalam kegiatan ini, dengan tujuan meningkatkan branding awareness universitas. Publikasi jurnal yang berkualitas dapat meningkatkan citra dan reputasi universitas, terutama jika jurnal tersebut terakreditasi di Sinta, terindek pada DOAJ, Scopus, dan WoS.
Workshop ini juga memberikan ruang bagi peserta untuk memaparkan dan mencari solusi terhadap berbagai permasalahan pengelolaan jurnal di kampus masing-masing. Strategi yang ditekankan adalah menjaga kualitas pengelolaan jurnal dengan menerapkan etika dan membangun komunitas yang konstruktif antara pengelola jurnal.
Diharapkan, workshop ini akan memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas pengelola jurnal di PTKIS Wilayah IV Surabaya dan pada akhirnya meningkatkan kualitas publikasi ilmiah perguruan tinggi keagamaan Islam.
